Something I love so much about Kamloops is that we love to support local businesses like 5Bean Brewbar & Café.
Watching the number of small Kamloops’ businesses grow over the years has been awesome—especially when it comes to coffee shops, restaurants, and breweries! I love getting to know the passionate entrepreneurs and their stories. I find it super inspiring. These people and businesses are one of the many reasons why people love living in Kamloops!
Anytime I’m meeting someone for coffee—whether it’s to answer their real estate questions, discuss their financial needs, or just catch up—5Bean is my go-to. It has the best vibe and tastiest coffee, and there are two convenient locations; one in Sahali and a new location on the North Shore. Plus, I love what this Kamloops business stands for, so I feel good about spending my moolah there!
The Owner, Reeve Harrison, used to be a partner and financial backer for Café Motivo for several years before deciding to branch off and open his own Kamloops coffee shop.
Reeve has such a vision for his business. It always comes back to helping the community and supporting local, and as a Kamloops business owner, this is something I really identify with.
Everything in his cafés are either local from Kamloops, or elsewhere in BC if he can’t find it here in town. I mean, just check out this list of awesome local BC collaborators:

All of 5Bean’s food is either made at their North Shore location or by Black Salt Catering, including gluten-free and vegan options. Even the space was made local with interior design by Cristlalee Brinkworth and custom-made furniture by Raw Elements Design.
5Bean even has a liquor license coming soon, so stay tuned for specialty spiked coffees and other yummy adult bevies!
Reeve’s goal is to create a franchise that continues to support other local businesses, and is a place where people love to work.
